Bonjour, je suis amoureux de Paris mais je ne suis jamais allé . Je pense que chaque fille est secrètement.
I’m in love with places I’ve never been, with people I haven’t met. Some of my posts are about dreaming and doing and simply how to achieve your life goals. This one, not so much. This one goes out to the young girls and boys with a true wanderlust spirit. The ones who have customized passport covers (I don’t have one but I really want one) and 300 picture long Facebook albums of their trips. Those who go out of their way to watch the travel channel and travel vlogs on Youtube. The ones, who’s eyes dazzle with stardust whenever a friend travels just for a hope of a trinket and the amazing stories. This ones for us.
I love to travel. The thought of learning about new cultures and seeing new sites seriously excite me. It is so humbling knowing that your life is one out of millions and your country is so different from hundreds. European culture has always been a focus of mine. England and European history is a part of my country’s history, I feel somewhat connected, though far and spread thin there is still a connection. The architecture, the food and the people have always been focal points for me. I draw a lot of my inspiration from European living. I won’t lie and drop some mysterious city or person that I follow to make me seem more chic and interesting, as if I’m filled with culture and knowledge. I do however follow moves from English bloggers and French fashion influencers. It’s no secret that I love Garance Dorè style and I am seriously obsessed with her Youtube videos (hint hint go 2-3 years back to her Pardon my french series). Every fashionista knows her book Love, Style, Life and How to Be Parisian by Caroline de Maigret.
The more I watched these women and followed their journeys, the more I would realize how similar a lifestyle they have, to what I want. Blogger from the South of France now author and mainstream photographer, all around artiste, it’s the dream to make it that big. I’m in-love with their laid back style, mens wear as feminine style. A boyfriend blazer and cigarette trouser is my go too, it exposes a subtle yet mysterious sex appeal. My views aren’t original because everyone seems to be loving the french style but my thoughts are genuine. One day I will travel to Europe and experience the art, the lights and the people. Until then I’ll walk along the beach and enjoy Jamaica’s sand, sea and sun. I love my island and its people and I am proud to be Jamaican. But loving the lifestyle of other countries is absolutely fine. It’s my need to be worldly and my personal desire for general knowledge that powers my dreams of travel. The cultural practices they display are vastly different from my own and makes me inquire even more. There’s a beauty in the ways they display themselves, an undisturbed romanticism that I hope I may promote Jamaica in theses ways. I for one am in-love with french, it’s a big thing for Mr.B and I to learn it together (more so for an inside thing). I appreciate all cultures and each races beauty, but right now France is on my mind and European life in my thoughts.
