This decor diy is so simple, and I mean so simple it shouldn’t be more than 10 minutes from start to finish and that’s hyperbole. I’m going to share with you a super easy home decor idea using tea lights. This decoration may be used as mood setting lights or for a little illumination when friends come round. It may be used as is, without being lit to add a little dimension to your space. This is a budget friendly and time friendly project that will add a little something to your room.
Personally the tea lights in Mr.B and my home are in our bathroom. Even though we go there to shower, clean and cough cough, you know, I would like to be surrounded by somewhat of a nice room. Think about it, decorators are used in restaurants and hotels to jazz up their bathrooms so why should ours at home be boring. The tea lights are great when they line the tub while you enjoy a bath, they burn quickly because they are quite small, but the soothing flicker from the flames do relax you. You can use them in any room and they’ll create a wonderful atmosphere. There’s something about the gentle glow of a flame that is absolutely beautiful. These add serenity to any room you choose. Great for the bedroom as they burn while you drift off and beautiful for the living room when you need some quiet alone time. The possibilities are endless.
What you’ll need
precious stones or gems
small glass bowl or container (transparent)
How it’s done
Clean the glassware thoroughly and place the gems or stones in the container, filling it only half of the height. Ensure gems or stones are leveled horizontally in container to support the tea lights. Once leveled add tea lights to the centre and your done. Now light and enjoy. See how simple that was. I went for black stones because that’s the colour scheme of or bathroom. I bought some medium sized glass cups from a local grocery stores home section, Megamart and they were extremely inexpensive. I got a bulk set of 12 tea lights and these stones from a homeware store, Azans and spent little to nothing. This diy was so simple, you could have tea lights lighting your whole home.
